Murder and Mayhem Cemetery Tour

The Murder and Mayhem walking tour on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. features true stories of deaths of people buried at Historic Fairview Cemetery. This fundraiser for the nonprofit organization is $50 per person. We will walk to the graves of people buried in the cemetery and tell true stories of their deaths because of murder or mayhem. Learn about the murder of Kiku Honda in 1896, the tragic death of John Medill McCormick at age 21 in 1938, how John Braden died while saving a crowd from a wagon of exploding ammunition in 1896, and other true stories.

The event is a preview event of the 2024 Before I Die New Mexico Festival. Participants can register for the tour as part of the festival, taking place November 1-4, 2024. More information here.
