We joined the Metro Court Community Service Referral Program in early May 2025, and it has been an incredible benefit to Historic Fairview Cemetery. Since then, twenty-four individuals have completed community service at the cemetery, with most performing all or the majority of their required hours at HFC.
Board Treasurer, Pam Steibler-Wendt, and board members, Lisa Roberts, and Evon Harrison have dedicated countless hours to supervising community service participants on site and inputting required data in to the court’s case management system. From May through December, a total of 167.5 hours of community service were logged. Participants assisted with weeding, filling holes, picking up trash, and pruning branches and trees. Their efforts have significantly improved both the appearance and accessibility of the cemetery.
Special thanks to former Board Vice President Lori Mann for responding to the solicitation on behalf of HFC and completing all of the paperwork required for the cemetery to participate in this valuable program.
